This study presents the implementation of the Field-Oriented Control (FOC) technique to a grid-connected Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG). Vector Control (VC) is employed to derive the reference voltages for both the Rotor Side Converter (RSC) and the Grid Side Converter (GSC). A Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) strategy is implemented to extract optimal torque at the rotor side. Furthermore, a Proportional-Integral (PI) regulator is utilized to control the direct and quadrature axis (dq-axis) currents on both converter interfaces. The DFIG system model is developed and simulated using MATLAB/Simulink. Simulation results demonstrate satisfactory performance under varying wind speed conditions.
