Journal of Karary University for Medicine and Health Science (JKUMHS) is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes high-quality research in the fields of medicine and health sciences. The journal aims to advance scientific knowledge by providing a platform for researchers, clinicians, and scholars to share original research articles, reviews, and case studies. JKUMHS covers a wide range of topics including clinical medicine, public health, biomedical sciences, and healthcare innovations, contributing to the development of medical research at both regional and international levels.

Plagiarism Policy

All the submitted manuscripts for publication are checked for plagiarism after submission and before starting the review. Suppose plagiarism is detected by the editorial board member, reviewer, editor, etc., at any stage of the article process- before or after acceptance. In that case, we will alert the same to the author(s) and will ask them to rewrite the content or to cite the references from where the content has been taken. If over 30% of the paper is plagiarized, the article will be rejected, and the author will be notified. The JKUES is using the Turnitin program to check.

Permissions

All manuscripts submitted to the journal are subjected to plagiarism screening immediately after submission and prior to the initiation of the review process. If plagiarism is identified at any stage whether by an editor, reviewer, or member of the editorial board, and whether before or after acceptance the author(s) will be notified and required to revise the plagiarized material or provide proper citations to the original sources. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 30% will be rejected, and the author(s) will be informed accordingly. The journal employs Turnitin software to conduct all plagiarism checks.

Types of Contributions

The Journal of Karary University for Medicine and Health Sciences accepts a wide range of scholarly submissions, including Original Research Articles, Short Communications, Technical Notes, Review Articles, Case Reports, Editorials, Letters to the Editor, and Book Reviews.

Style

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system and prepared exclusively in MS Word or LaTeX format. All submissions should follow the journal’s official template, which uses one column layout, 12‑point font, and 1‑inch margins on all sides. The first page must include the title, authors’ full names, institutional affiliations, postal addresses, fax numbers, and email addresses, and this page should remain unnumbered. The corresponding author must be clearly identified with an asterisk (*). All subsequent pages should be numbered consecutively.
Manuscripts submitted to JKUMHS must include: a concise and informative title, an abstract of 200–400 words, up to five keywords, and the main text organized into the following sections: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion. Additional required components include References, Acknowledgments, Tables, Figure Captions (on a separate page), a List of Abbreviations and Symbols, and a numbered reference list formatted according to the journal’s guidelines. A brief biographical sketch of the authors may be included when necessary.
Authors must adhere strictly to the deadline provided by the Editor‑in‑Chief for submitting revised manuscripts. Failure to meet the deadline may result in delays or rejection of the submission.

Title

The title should be given in English and should be concise and definitive without abbreviations unless necessary.

Author Names and Affiliations

All manuscripts must clearly list the full names of all authors, along with their institutional affiliations, including department, faculty, university or organization, city, and country. Each author must also provide a complete postal address and an active email address. The corresponding author should be clearly identified, and their contact information must be accurate and up to date.

If the research was supported by external funding, the grant number and the full official name of the funding agency or institution must be stated in the manuscript. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all affiliation and funding information is correct, complete, and consistent with institutional records.

Abstract:

The abstract must provide a clear and concise overview of the manuscript, summarizing the research objectives, the methods employed, and the key results, enabling readers to determine the relevance of the full article to their interests. To support indexing, abstracting, and retrieval processes, the abstract should be written in an authoritative and concise manner, capturing the essential elements of the study in a limited number of words for quick and efficient reading.

Keywords

Authors must provide a set of appropriate and precise keywords that accurately reflect the main themes and subject matter of the manuscript. Keywords should not repeat nouns or phrases already used in the title, and should instead highlight the essential concepts, variables, or topics addressed in the study. The selected keywords must effectively support indexing, abstracting, and retrieval processes, ensuring that the article can be easily discovered by researchers and database search engines.

References

References must be numbered sequentially and cited in the text using their corresponding reference number. In the reference list, entries should appear in the order in which they are first cited in the manuscript, not alphabetically. For publications with three or more authors, only the first author’s name followed by “et al.” should be used in the in‑text citation. Authors are encouraged to use the JKUMHS EndNote style to ensure consistency and accuracy. All references should be compiled in a dedicated References section following the main text of the manuscript.
